CHIMES stands for Capacity Building for Health Based Initiatives and ministries with EHE Enhanced Strategies. CHIMES is designed for community members who either are part of, would like to start, or have already established a health ministry. CHIMES is designed to primarily provide information meant to address issues from the perspective of BIPOC populations and communities. BIPOC populations include Black, Indigenous, and other people of color. CHIMES focuses on helping those who are interested, have developed or want to enhance a health ministry, particularly those who wish to implement them in faith-based spaces such as churches, ministries, groups and other entities motivated by faith, spirituality, or religion. This is based on the understanding that faith leaders can have a significant impact on the health status of BIPOC individuals and communities. CHIMES gives them the tools to do so in an organized, evidence-informed way. Due to our funding agreement which supports the scholarships, in order to enroll in CHIMES under a scholarship, you must attest to the following:

1) I will use what I learn in CHIMES to serve/lead people who are located in a communities majorly occupied by people of color or…

2) I am a faith leader of a group of people (church, group, etc.) with a majority of people of color in attendance, including those led by persons identifying as LGBTQ+.

These are known as the key components of the CHIMES program.

All walks of faith are welcome in CHIMES so the belief systems of attendees; your co-participants may vary.

Administrators of the program and all leaders and instructors reserve the right to remove individuals from the course, without a refund, for violation of the group agreements, or false claims on the Acknowledgment Form.
